The Earthshaker Fest is one of the medium size festivals located in the South of Germany, set to take place from the 20th till the 22nd of July. The first edition was held in a large tent but already the next year the festival became a real open air event. In fact, it has grown so much that the organizers had to find a new location so that the festival is now held in Rieden/Kreuth.

What can we expect from the Earthshaker Fest? According to the organizers “good music, a unique atmosphere and civil prices”. The festival will have only one stage so that no one will have to miss a band or rush from one stage to the other. The amount of bands is going to be rather small, but as we all know it is quality that counts, not quantity. This is more than true for this festival if you look at this years billing. If you like many genres of metal you will surely be satisfied: The crowd will be offered old school bands like Saxon, Nevermore and Testament, Hammerfall are going to serve the crowd some power metal, Sodom are going to prove that good thrash metal doesn’t have to come from the Bay Area, Venom and Satyricon will make the fans bang their heads to their to black metal, Ensiferum and Equilbrium are going to make everyone dance to their folk metal and of course the Swedes can’t be missed either. That’s where Arch Enemy, Soilwork and Deathstars come in. On top of that, German bands like Edguy and Caliban will rock the crowd as well Finnish horror rockers Lordi. So, any questions? Then get your camping gear together and enjoy the festival.

3 days tickets cost 55 euro plus 4 euro presale. Camping and parking tickets are available for 10 euros each (note: the parking fee will be charged per car and not per person). One day tickets will be available as long as the festival isn't sold out.
