The American heavy metal band 3rd Stage Alert was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1984. They appeared on the Metal Massacre II compilation with the track "Metal Invader" and then released an EP on Metal Blade Records in 1985 which was produced by no other than Yngwie J. Malmsteen. They apparently changed their name to Guillotine later on.
