40 Grit photo
The American metal band 40 Grit was formed in San Francisco in 1997. The following year they toured heavily and played the Milwaukee Metalfest. After three demo tapes the band signed a deal with Metal Blade Records and released their debut album "Heads" in September 2000. On February 3rd, 2004, it was officially announced that the band had called it quits, the reason cited to be that they were sick and tired of the music business.
