Band biography
Acid Bath photo
Acid Bath were one of many sludgecore bands on the Louisiana metal scene. They formed in Morgan City in 1991 and recorded two demos in 1993 before releasing an album. Their debut album featured artwork done by mass murderer John Wayne Gacy and was produced by D.R.I. guitarist Spike Cassidy. The band then toured American to promote the album and opened up for Cannibal Corpse and Entombed among others. The band broke up in 1997 after their bass player Audie Pitre was killed by a drunk driver together with his parents on January 23rd.
