Angel Corpse was originally formed in late 1995 by Gene Palubicki and Pete Helmkamp. In a couple
of months John Longstreth joined in on drums and around March 1996 they recorded their first
demo "Goats To Azazel" which led to a deal with the French Osmose Productions. After their
debut album they went on tour, supporting Impaled Nazarene of Finland. In November 1997
the band moved to Tampa, Florida. After the American tour with Satyricon, Immortal and
Krisiun Pete Helmkamp decides to leave the band in May 2000 which led to the rest of the guys
splitting up. He had thought about leaving before and it didn't get any better when their
van was attacked and his fiance got stabbed after a show.
