Bloodcum´s history goes back autumn 1999. Bloodcum´s guitarplayer Daniel decided to form his own band after almost ten years of playing in the dutch death-metalband Rottus. Rottus fell apart and the vocalist plus the other guitarplayer from Rottus later formed the brilliant sick down tuned us-style death-metalband Putrefied, signed up with sevared records now. Daniel managed to put up a line up with almost only inexperienced musicians. This worked out pretty well and after 6 months they were ready to play a lot of gigs in Holland. Their first demo called 'Arsestabbers' was recorded in Januari-Februari 2001 and was self financed and self produced. After pretty good reactions and reviews things started to happen. Bloodcum was starting to grow in the underground scene but never got further then the point they had reached at that moment. Daniel was asked to play with Disavowed that following summer and decided to try to play in two bands. That didn´t meant the end of Bloodcum. On the contrary, Bloodcum was supposed to grow on!!! But...things really didn´t work out anymore. Combinations of all kinds of personal problems and lack of motivation resulted in the split-up of the entire old line up that following year. Marc, the bassplayer was fed up with all the problems and went on playing for Pyaemia, and left the band in good terms. The others went into some kind of sabbatical. In fact, Daniel and the leadguitarist Pranger were the only ones that really were interested in continuing . But with Daniel completely focussing on Disavowed now, he wasn´t able to rebuild the energy and interest to put up a new line up. Pranger though, started writing shitloads of interesting stuff on his own. Former drummer Emyl en former vocalist Ron tried to put up a new Death-metalband with a few other guys later on that year. That didn´t worked out either, so regretfuly that project lasted for a few months only. Ron is retired for now and Emyl is playing in a hardcore band recently. Pranger and Daniel decided to stick together and were planning to build up a new Bloodcum in the future. The only problem was when. After almost two years they´ve finally managed to put up a new line up, AND WHAT A LINE UP!!! FUCK YEAH!!!
In early February 2005 the band signed a contract with Neurotic Records under the new band monicker Arsebreed.| Session musicians Add - Fetch |
