Aurora photo
Aurora was formed in Aabenraa, Denmark, in 1994 as a death metal band in the ashes of Asmodeus. At first they were known under the monicker Aurora Borealis but they shortened their name to Aurora in 1997 after the release of a single called "I'll Cry Alone". Several line-up changes and album releases have followed since along with a musical shift towards more progressive and atmospheric domains.
