After having moved to Los Angeles in 1987, former Culprit bassist Scott Earl auditioned for many bands like Metallica, Alice Cooper, Kingdom Come and Lita Ford but found no luck. Instead he, together with fellow Seattle emigrants Kjartna Kristoffersen and Jet Silver formed Bang Gang in 1989. They went through many line-up changes before finally releasing their one and only album "Love Sells" in 1990. They recorded some demos for a second album but split up before having a chance to release it. These demo recordings resulted in the cd "Vanity Kills" which was released by Fast Lane Records in 2001.
