Black Stone Cherry photo
The southern styled American hard rock band Black Stone Cherry was formed in early June 2001 in the small town of Edmonton, Kentucky. Chris and John Fred had however been playing together while in high school. John Fred's father Richard is a founding member of Grammy Award winning Kentucky Headhunters. After having recorded an EP on their own they were picked up by Roadrunner Records. The eponymous debut album was recorded in their hometown and produced by John Fred's father together with engineer David Barrick. It was to enter the US charts at number 90.
