In August 2006 it was announced that original Angelcorpse members Gene Palubicki and Pete Helmkamp had reunited and were working on two albums worth of material, about to sign a new deal with their old label Osmose Productions out of France. At this point they revealed that they had recruited a female drummer named Gina Ambrosio. She was however later out of the band and instead unveiled a new extreme thrash metal project called Blasphemic Cruelty alongside Gene and frontman Alex Blume (Ares Kingdom) towards the end of the year. The band's debut album is expected to be released via Osmose Productions late 2007 according to a statement made by Pete Helmkamp in an interview from early May.
