Carptree is Niclas Flinck and Carl Westholm. After knowing eachother for 20 years and, now and then, playing together in different constellations they formed Carptree in 1997 in their aim to combine good, and sometimes even catchy, melodies with more dramatic and progressive arrangements. Their first album "Carptree" was released in 2001 and was well recieved throughout the world. The following album “Superhero” was released in 2003 and even better received, mostly considered a somewhat darker and heavier production. Now, 2005 “Man made machine” is released, beside Carl, Niclas and no future orchestra, Trollhättans chamber choir appears on one song. “No future orchestra” consists of musicians known from other, both small and big, Swedish acts, Carl is also known Candlemass, Krux and Abstract algebra.
