Cinema was a California based heavy metal band that featured later to be Shrapnel Records founder Mike Varney. The band was formed by Varney after he had released his rock opera / musical "Rock Justice: A Rock N' Roll Musical" on EMI Records in 1980 which failed to succeed commercially despite being released by a major label.
