The Circle Jerks were one of the early punk bands bands to form in the United States, along with Black Flag, Bad Religion, Minor Threat, just to name a few. They formed in 1979 by guitarist Greg Hetson and former Black Flag singer Keith Morris and released a number of albums before Hetson joined Bad Religion in 1984.
The band split up for good around 1989, while Hetson decided to continue playing in Bad Religion, but reunited in 1994 and even released an album, Oddities, Abnormalities and Curiosities, in 1995 before remaining silent once again. Hetson was still in Bad Religion during this time and the Circle Jerks did, however, reunite once again around 2001 and have continued playing on this day.
