Clawfinger began to take form in 1990 when Erlend Ottem and Bård Torstensen moved from Norway to Sweden to work at the Rosenlund hospital in Stockholm. At the hospital were already two guys named Jocke Skog and Zak Tell working since a couple of years. These four ended up working at the same ward and decided to play together just to have something to do after work. Eventually they recorded a demo tape with three songs on it which in April 1992 was chosen "Demo of the week" by the Vox radio show on the Swedish national radio. The song that won was their big hit "Nigger", one of their best songs ever.
