Band biography Upload photo
Together with Purtenance and Lubricant, Convulse were the death metal scene ok Nokia, Finland. In their early days they played speed metal under the name Seven Death's Sins but in 1991 they started playing death metal and changed their name to Convulse. Jämsä had previously recorded with a hard rock band called Havoc and also played in Puhelinkoppi (originally a hardcore side project of The Flounder Weirdos). In 1995 they sent a Pearl Jam / Soundgarden sounding demo to their label Relapse Records which resulted in them being dropped. The band changed their line-up and became Pornorphans in 1996, playing metallic rock with female vocals and keyboards. Their second and final album "Reflections" was recorded at Sweden's famous Sunlight Studios with Lars Lindén and the band producing, engineered and mixed by Lindén and Thomas Skogsberg.
