The Swedish thrash metal act Cranium was originally formed in 1985 by brothers Philip and Gustaf von Segebaden. They changed their name to Legion for a demo in 1986 entitled "The Dawn" but soon broke up. Guitarist Fredrik Söderberg founded Obduracy and later on Dawn. In 1996 the band reformed as Cranium once again to release a mini album called "Speed Metal Satan" which consisted of re-recorded early 80s tracks.
