Among the rotting bloom and nuclear waste at the powerplant the deathmetalband Cremation fused in 1993. Cremation soon gained recognition by successful gigs and received great response of media and fans. Five T-shirtprintings weren’t enough to satisfy the greedy hands of the frantic audience.
The pure deathmetal trickles from the 'Waiting for the Sun' (1995) and ‘...rapture’ (1997) demo’s. The gore throatcontent splatters almost in your face and nestles itself in the rapturous delectation of incinerating riffs and pounding drums. Several compilationtapes and –cd’s followed.
The brutal ‘Sempiternal Hatred’ (1999) demo is far more aggressive and powerful than ever from heard from Cremation before. In 2000 the band adds fuel to the flames with the Futile Felicity splitmaxi which confirms the status of the band. Both releases are promising and received very good reviews.
Finally the debutcd ‘Retaliation’ (2002) saw the light. Nine various and intense tracks come up to the high expectations. The fast songs are of first rank and compete with the Dutch deathmetal top.
Live performances are convincing and brutal. The unceasing, contagious sparks of energy and aggression inevitably infect crowd. They supported bands as Sinister, Asphyx, God Dethroned, Houwitser, Krabathor, Master and Benediction.
SO BEWARE OF THE FLAMES OF FURY!!
The band split up in 2003, playing their farewell show on July 6th at Willemeen in Arnhem together with Six Feet Under, Obscenity and INRI.
