CRIMSON MOON was first known from it’s 1994 self titled demo
release which instantly gained a high amount of attention within the
American Black Metal scene. Following up in 1995 with the “Into the
Nocturnal Forest” demo release, CRIMSON MOON gained praises worldwide and
left a true determined mark upon the demo/cult days of the Black Metal
scene.
The musick, which was self-proclaimed “Vampyric Black
Metal” did and continues to this day to receive a large amount of
misunderstanding from those who never witnessed it’s essence. Understandable,
due to the large amount of bands within the Black Metal scene which have
exploited the meaning of occult matter and symbolism while oblivious of
any true significance. For Crimson Moon it should only take a competent
individual to take more than a quick glance at their material to
realize this is indeed Occult Music.
After agreeing to a release scheduled through ABYSS
PRODUCTIONS, the debut C.D. “To Embrace the Vampyric Blood” was completed
but due to several delays the material was not released until late 1996,
almost a year after the recording was finished. Despite having released
a C.D. entirely recorded on 4-track, the C.D. received reviews and
reactions of honor with a raw but impressive production. Unfortunately the
released suffered from poor promotion outside of the U.S. boundaries.
Meanwhile in September of 1997 a rehearsal recording was made of
material that soon came to be known as “Under the Serpentine Spell”. This
material was the first recording made with t3rd member, Khaija Ausar
performing synthesizers. Once again, the material was extremely raw and
recorded on 4-track. The material was never official released but spread
out to a limited group of listeners, proving new standards and
expectations from CRIMSON MOON. Time shall tell if!
this material shall ever be available in its entirety as an official
release.
Still to this day CRIMSON MOON has not ceased writing
and arranging material for their long anticipated, second and new
release. A professional private studio and an arsenal of material composed
throughout a 4 year + period now currently promises CRIMSON MOON to
deliver a devastating execution with their upcoming onslaught.
The time is near.
