In the spring of 2008 the Swedish guitarist / songwriter Marcus Backlund from Sandviken joined forces with guitarist Jacob Wennerqvist of the long-running power metal act The Storyteller. The aim was to write melodic hard rock with an 80s heavy metal vibe. Several songs were written before recruiting The Storyteller frontman L-G Persson in to handle vocals.
