The idea of making music was always a dream for these guys.
But how came these bunch of guys that showed no talent could begin a band?
In September of 2006 there was an attempt to play to gather in a band. So they met Oni Revram in which they saw a great vocalist. What the band was playing they didn't know. But they all loved one thing. A thing that is good sounding and many men love it. Of course you all know what I'm talking about. METAL. The sound of everybody's soul. But after a couple attempt they didn’t find a drummer or rehearsal place and they split their musical ways.
Summer of 2007
Back in business again, After a whole period of playing alone. Isembold and Owaeran had decided to start al over again but with Oni Revram. And the search for a drummer continued!
But where could they found one? That was the question that kept us many months busy. Isembold and Owaeran weren't that good familiar with the other musicians in the village Scherpenzeel. Owaeran was advised by Oni Revram to go the SMS (Scherpenzeel Music School) and there he met Arod. A skilled drummer with the aggression a drum play needs.
After a while he was asked to play with Isembold, Owaeran and Oni Revram.
At that moment the name of the band was already been chosen (Dain). Invented by Isembold.
Now the guys were complete the still needed to find a place to practise. This project costed the band the whole summer.
The youth social worker in Scherpenzeel could have had a positive role. He was the guy that was the link between the town council and the youth in Scherpenzeel. So our four Heroes made contact with him and explained their problem. After a meeting he said he would contact them after a week or two. Strangely enough the message didn't came to our guys. They had waited for five weeks. And then continued their search for a solution for their problem.
September 2007
Was a point of heaven. The guys did found a space to rehearsal!!! There they made the first songs which sounded pretty nice;
Only after a week or four they were send away, with the excuse "YOU ALL PLAY TO LOUD". Some how they were pleased and said at the same time. Now they have no space to practice, but they know now they played just the right music. REAL METAL!!!
December 2007
The band has found a spot to rehearsal! It isn't far away from their first rehearsal spot, (Scherpenzeel isn't a big town). Their rehearsals are on Saturdays and Tuesdays at the local Music School(SMS). They are very lucky to get this fine place, where there are no people to complain about the sound. So far as the lads are now the recording of their Demo is coming closer every week, and as we do see progress each time were coming to have a check. It will not be taken so long before our four heroes put Scherpenzeel on the map of Rock ‘n’ Roll!
And for every positive thing they get there is a counterstrike. Oni leaved the band. because of personal reasons.
The search for a rehearsel place ended. The search for a singer just started
