The band was founded in 1997, when Lord Messir created a
project named DOMINATION and performed death metal.
In 1998 Lord Messir decided to change the band's name to DARK
DOMINATION because he also changed the music style to true black metal. Since
the beginning of all musical activities a lot of musicians were invited
to join the band, but they left it before long. The reason was not-
understanding Lord Messir's ideas for 100 %.
In 1999 Lodbrok joined the band and since that moment till now he is
member of DARK DOMINATION.
The first and only one professional album is "Blasphemy", released on
limited edition tape in 2001 by band personally and Latvian label
Beverina with support of German label Ketzer in quantity of 500 copies and
spreaded through worldwide underground labels and distributors.
In April of 2003 the album "Blasphemy" was re-released by Portugal label Hallucination'Zine with different artwork for the cover layout (1000 pcs.) This year new members Midgard (drums) and Eligor (bass) joined the band. Now after many years band have a full line-up. And finally all the members are satisfied with DARK DOMINATION (Lord Messir's) ideas and ideology of music.
DARK DOMINATION is preparing new material for its upcoming album, which is planned for the middle of the year. New member Frostmourn (drums) has joined, now band have two drummers.

The new album was released 28.02.05 on limited edition cd (200 copies).
