Band biography
Decollation photo
Decollation was a Swedish death metal band in the Nocturnus vein. The band members went by English aliases but were all Swedish and well-known metal musicians on the local scene. frontman Johan Österberg and drummer Kristian Wåhlin were both in Liers in Wait and Grotesque and would later on team up in Diabolique while bassist Tomas Johansson was a member of Ceremonial Oath. An EP was recorded with Tomas Skogsberg at the infamous Sunlight Studio and issued by the French label Listenable Records in 1992 before they went their separate ways. Wåhlin has since become a very prominent album covers artist.
