The whole idea of starting a band was born in 1992 in the minds of two inexperienced lamers Novy and Bony. They played their first gigs in 1993 / 1994 as Cerebral Concussion. Soon they recorded their first demo "The Rule", which was promoted on Polish and European underground scene. In April 1996 they recorded material for their first full-length. In the end of 1996, with Mariusz Kmiolek's help, the band signed two-album contract with French label Listenable Rec. and changed their name to Devilyn. The material, which had been recorded before, was released by Listenable Rec. as "Anger". Thanks to great press-reviews Devilyn went for their first professional European tour in 1998, with Cannibal Corpse and Krabathor. Towards the end of 1998 new compositions were written and recorded.
In 1999 "Reborn In Pain" was released. Unfortunately, this title became a bad prophecy for the band for next two years. Because of hardly any promotion, personal problems and many more factors the band suspended their musical activity. In 2000 Basti (drums) and Dino (guitar) joined the band (both in Spinal Cord), replacing Piotr, Kuba and session guitarist Borówa. The "new blood" refreshed Devilyn style, which became even more brutal and uncompromising.
Soon the band signed a new contract, this time with Plastic Head - Blackend. By the end of 2001 "Artefact" was out.
At the moment, the "ultimate" line-up is being settled, and the new line-up will soon be revealed by the band leader Bony. Devilyn are also working on their new material, which will be released next year, and, according to the band's promises, it will strike you with its power and brutality!!!
