The German thrash metal band Deztroyer was formed in the end of 1985 by Uwe and Stripe in the ashes of their former band Arrow. At this stage they were joined by Matthias Röseler and Ralf Couard but as they were active in other bands as well they didn't stay for very long. Between 1987 and 1989 the band recorded four demos and they played many shows with bands like Hades, Midas Touch, Vendetta, Deathrow, Squealer, Erosion, Emils, Arschgebuiden and Devastate. In September 1990 they recorded their debut album "Climate Change" in the Delta Studios (Accept, Lou Reed...) which was only released in 100 vinyl copies. Because of problems with the record company the band finally split up in the summer of 1991.
