The Swedish hard rock / funk metal band Electric Boys was formed in Stockholm in 1987 by Conny Blomqvist and Andy Christell. Prior to the band's formation Blomqvist had been asked to replace drummer Razzle in Hanoi Rocks after his tragic death in a car crash. In 1988 they toured together with 200 Volt and Treat and the following year they did no less than 67 shows in Sweden. In 1989 the band released a single called "För Fet" together with Swedish comedian Svullo which reached high in the Swedish charts. In 1994 the two first albums had sold 400,000 copies altogether and they are one of the most successful Swedish hard rock bands ever on an international level. Due to changing musical trends the band felt that it was over now and they did their farewell gig in Stockholm on October 16th, 1994.
