The band Enthrallment has existed since the summer of 1998. The boys (Yasen Kianov - vocals, Hristo Hristov - guitars, Simeon Totev - bass and Ivo Ivanov - drums) passed through many Bulgarian Death Metal and Grind Core bands (Corpse, Condemned, Odium, Graveworm etc.) till the day when they decided to collect their views and ideas, which as a result built the style of Enthrallment. The same year they recorded their first demo, but the band estimated that it was not the wanted sound. They continued their work on the new songs, as well as taking part in many concerts with some of the most distinguished Metal bands in Bulgaria. On August 14th, 1999, they had to take part in "The other side" festival in Primorsko, but unfortunately the bassist - Simeon Totev left the band, and was replaced by Dimitar Tomov in the end of 1999. In the Autumn of 1999 Enthrallment went into the local studio"Sider", where with the help of Emo Marinov they prepared their first album -"The Scarlet Difference". It includes five Brutal Death Metal compositions and Cannibal Corpse's "Stripped, Raped and Strangled". On December 26th the band and its album became an official release of Dark Mist Productions (Bulgaria). In the beginning of 2000, the song "Chronograph of Disorder" was included in a compilation CD together with the bands Deeds Of Flesh, Avulsed, Pessimist, Death Of Millions, Deprecated, Witchery and others. Yassen left the band because of personal reasons, but was immediately replaced by Plamen Bakardjiev when on 27.05.2000 ENTHRALLMENT took part in the underground festival "Metal Sound Fest" - Shumen Open Air, together with one of the best Bulgarian bands: HYPERBOREA, KOROZY, BRAINSTORM, CLAYMORE, DARK INVERSION and SAMHAIN. After that the boys composed their new material named "Burning Fields" and in the end of 2000 (12.12.2000) they entered one of the best Bulgarian studios - Max Sound Studio. This time the format is MCD and the songs are four. ENTHRALLMENT's song "Graveyard" took place in the compilation CD of BRUTALLICA issue #6.
