2001
- Excessum is formed by Daniel Contagion (Guitars, Vocals) and Arvid
Hammar (Keys) in December.
2002
- The first rehearsals take place and several members is recruited and
later replaced. In this era Erik Dahlström (Guitars) and Pontus Norman
(Drums) joins the band.
- The band is put on ice due rehearsal-place problems among others.
2003
- As the band is started up again Kaj Palm (Bass) completes the
line-up.
- The “Oblivion” demo is recorded and released in April.
- In July Excessum signs a contract with the French label Aura Mystique
Productions for 1 fullength album.
2004
- Kaj Palm (Bass) is replaced by Andreas Hedström (Bass) in January.
- The First Album will be recorded and unleashed…
