Excretion photo
Excretion was a black metal from Sweden who released one album through Wrong Again Records in 1995. The band probably broke up soon after that as guitarists Stolle Holm and Anders Hanser formed a new band called Devil in 1996 together with drummer Peter Eklund. Devlin lacked both bass player and vocalist for a year but in 1997 Mats Gustafsson joined on bass and at the end of 1998 they were joined by vocalist Micke Ohlsson from Luleå. During 1998 and 1999 Devil recorded close to 20 songs on four demos. They had contacts with record labels and were very close to a deal but did not quite reach a signing.
