Exit Wounds was formed in late 2001. After a while Exit Wounds started recording their first demo-cd entitled "Pleasures Of Blood And Carnal Sin". It consisted four songs, Which J. Lahikainen had composed earlier, during a few years. At that time Exit Wounds couldn't find a drummer, who would had been skillful enough to play the songs, so Exit Wounds decided to use drummachine. The first demo received good feedback, allthough it wasn't distributed properly at all.
In fall 2002 some line-up changes followed: T.T. Klemettinen decided to leave the band, S. Manninen joined Exit Wounds as a guitarist and B. Niininen as a drummer. Soon after that Exit Wounds had composed enough songs to enter the studio again to record their 2nd product entitled "Deathpoint". In late december new finnish label Onyxia got interested on Exit Wounds and "Deathpoint" was never released by the band. In summer 2003 Onyxia unleashed Exit Wounds/Luciferase (Deathpoint/Misery Ritual) split-cd. In the beginning of july Exit Wounds' song Plastic Coffin was played in national radioshow Metalliliitto on YleX. P. Hokkanen joined the band as a guitarist in the summer 2003.
