Band biography Upload photo
Fallout was formed in 1979 in Brooklyn, New York, by Peter Steele and Josh Silver. They had earlier on played together in a band called Aggression. They only recorded one 7" EP which was released in 500 copies through their own label Silver Records. The band performed in the Brooklyn area during the early 80's and even got to open up for Twisted Sister once. Some of the songs they would perform live were "Rock Hard", "Batteries Not Included", "Fallout" and "Under The Wheels". Their music is said to have been a mix of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple and their lyrics were rather morbid. In 1982 the band split up with Peter and Lou forming Carnivore with Keith Alexander. Josh and John formed a band called Original Sin. Original Sin was fronted by Cheryl Alter, sister of Debbie Alter whose background singing can be heard on several Type O Negative albums.
