Februari 93 is a Swedish folk rock band that formed in the summer of 1994. During a gig with the doom metal band Forlorn some of the members switched instruments and played a few metalized Swedish folksongs. They decided to form a new band that was entitled Februari 93 which was the project name for a Forlorn song (later called "Awakening") since that was the date when it was written. They started out mostly for fun and quickly arranged about ten old traditional songs and recorded them. The songs found their way to the car stereo of a man named Carsten who had a record label called Solistitium Records. He liked their music and signed them for one album. The album was recorded at the FS-Studio in Söderhamn and contained 13 songs of which 4 were their own and the rest re-arranged lesser known songs and lullabies. Later on both Magnus and Josefin left the band. Daniel and Crister searched for new members but I don't think they ever found any.
