Geezer is a heavy metal project that was led by legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. Originally it was christened as G/Z/R in 1995 and that was the way the band name was written on the cover of their first album. Vocalist Burton C. Bell was asked to join after Geezer had seen a Fear Factory promotional clip on TV. The debut album was recorded in only ten days and received great reviews all over the world. After only ten shows Burton did however return to Fear Factory for a new tour with them. After extensive auditions Geezer found out about a vocalist called Clark Brown who had approached manager Gloria Brown to help secure a record deal for his band. His band soon broke up and he joined Geezer's band instead. After eight weeks in the studio their second album was complete, having no less than fifty songs to choose from. A third album was recorded in the year 2000 but has not been release to this date. A new album was to surface in April 2005, this time using the monicker GZR.
