Goliath is the brainchild of Mick Rowe (ex-Tempest, Midnight
Orchestra). They are from Terre Haute, Indiana, and play something they
call doomonic metal. It fuses old school psychedelic rock with modern
doom/sludge metal. Think of it as one big sonic street brawl between The
Doors, Trouble, and Motörhead. Now you get the picture. Deep, clean
vocals mix with gravelly, rumbled groans. This is then threaded into
massive, doomy guitar riffs and obliterating rhythm assaults. It's slow,
low, and powerful. Mick has also formed a new band called Mindset 7.
