In the mid 90s vocalist Lee Jones was in a Birmingham, England, based band called White Trash who toured with the Ramones among others. In search for a record deal they left for LA and was going to sign a deal with Noise Records but nothing materialized so they went back home. At that time Lee had a Spanish girlfriend who suggested that they give her country a shot. Lee now ended up living among the gypsies in the Zaragoza slum where he got a taste of flamenco. This is where the story of Gypsy Pistoleros began as he and former White Trash colleague Ian Walker formulated the new act during 2004 and their Spanish influenced glam rock became quite a success.
A new era for the band began in 2006 when they supported Adler's Appetite in Spain in January and Dogs D'amour in May. Gypsy Pistoleros later on relocated to Worcester, England, and signed a deal with upstart label Evil Boy Records. 2007 found the band touring Europe heavily with bands like Love/Hate, Bang Tango, Thin Lizzy, L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, Michael Schenker Group and Enuff Z'nuff. In March Evil Boy had released their debut album "Wild, Beautiful, Damned" which had been recorded with renowned producer Joe Gibb (Madonna, Catatonia, Robbie Williams, The Cure, Funeral for a Friend, Jane's Addiction).
