Hammers Of Misfortune photo
Hammers Of Misfortune is an American power metal band centered around guitarist / vocalist John Cobbett who formed the band under the name Unholy Cadaver and also writes most of the music. At first it was meant to be more of an ambient project based on haunting keyboards but eventually the music became more guitar oriented and he changed the name of the project to Hammers Of Misfortune. They released their debut album in 2001 through a small label called Tumult Records. Most of the music on this album was written was early as 1996 / 1997 and the album was pressed in 1000 copies only. In 2003 they signed a new record deal with Cruz Del Sur Music.
