August 1993, Shatraug and Moredhel form the band under the name "Shadowed". Late 1994, Gorthaur joins, HORNA is born. Early 1995, first real songs. Early versions on songs "Surun Ikuistama Henki" and "Hel" are done. September '95, the first demo is recorded and released for sales, which surprisingly end in a sold-out. Summer 1996 to the end, "Hiidentorni" forms until December. During the last weeks before the year shifts, Nazgul joins to handle vocals. January 1997, "Hiidentorni" is recorded and released as a promotape resulting in the deal with Solistitium Records. October 1997, The first album "Hiidentorni" is released, and the second album "Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua" is finished. January 1998, 3rd album "Haudankylmyyden Maille" is recorded. April 1998, "Kohti Yhdeksän Nousua" is released. June 1998, longtime member Moredhel has left the band and in connection to that also Skratt is kicked out. The band has secured some session members for possible gigs in Europe, therefor things are not as bad as they seem. On the other hand, there has been no replacement to either Moredhel or Skratt and it seems to be a difficult task to face.Currently the band remains in a dormant state as Nazgul begins to fulfil his military service, and only further plans are carried out as intended. The 3rd album has been finished as supposed (being the strongest material ever) and is under work concerning the lay-out. August 1998, new member Thanatos joins the band. September 1998, Moredhel decides to return the horde again. October 1998, first album "Hiidentorni" is sold out and won't be available again unless demand for it makes it "reasonable". December 1998, Greek Sinister Productions offers to release a 7" consisting of 3rd album´s material, Horna agrees. January 1999, Horna signs a deal with Norwegian Oskorei Productions for a 10" MLP release, being exclusively out ONLY on vinyl and with ONLY new tracks. Anyway, during this year the plans to release much more vinyl take an effective course. To make a long story short, here´s a list of signings: "Korpin Hetki" 7" EP for Apocalyptic Empire Records, a 7" EP split w/MUSTA SURMA for End All Life Productions, a 7" EP split w/CRUCIFIER for Dark Horizon Records and another split 7" EP w/VORNAT for Satanic Terror Productions. All these are due to be released sometime during the year 2000 in extremely limited editions never to be re-pressed or available on other formats, be aware of the fact. Currently the band is negotiating a new deal but further information shall be revealed when signings are made. More treats for the vinyl fans will come...
