The British blues rock act Humble Pie was formed by former Small Faces guitarist Steve Marriott and former Herd string bender Peter Frampton in 1968. A deal was signed early with Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate Records who were lucky enough to score a hit single entitled "Natural Born Boogie". Canadian metal act Kick Axe boasted interest in the band in 1984 as they did a radio hit cover version of "30 Days In The Hole". Steve Marriott sadly died in a house fire in 1990 after taking a deadly mix of cocaine, valium and alcohol. Humble Pie was resurrected in 2000 by Shirley and Ridley. Ridley also sadly passed way from pneumonia on November 19th, 2003. In early 2004 former Quiet Riot frontman Kevin DuBrow released a cover of "Red Light Mama, Red Hot" on his solo effort "In For The Kill".
