Ignorance photo
Ignorance was a Nottingham based thrash metal band that formed in 1989. The same year they released an impressive demo entitled "Why?" which led to a deal with Metal Blade Records. Their debut album was recorded in San Francisco with producer John Cuniberti. Musically the band drifted their thrash roots to adjust to the funk-metal hype. In 1991 Ignorance opened up the respected Dynamo Festival in Holland before supporting Mordred on German soil. Following a UK tour with New England they split up in early 1993, following the departure of guitarist Steve John.
