Band biography
In Aeternum photo
The band was brought to life in the summer of 1992 by David as a duo. In Aeternum released two reh. demos of raw, evil black metal in -92 / -93, Domini Inferi and The Ancient Kingdom. Both received enthusiastic responses in the underground.

In the summer of -94 the band went through a series of line-up changes which left David as the sole founding member. With a new skinbasher and bassist, the revamped In Aeternum recorded a promo tape in -95 which remained mostly unheard. Around this time In Aeternum began establishing themselves as a force to be reconed with in the live front from -95 to -97 when the bass player left the band.

The remaining members (David, Paul) returned to the studio in August -97 to record the now sold out MCD "And Darkness Came". Soon after the recording two new members joined forces with the band, and a solid line-up was finally secured.

In October -98 In Aeternum recorded their debut album for the Necropolis horde, "Forever Blasphemy" at studio Fredman.

The band take inspiration exclusively from darkness, death and the macabre. Musically In Aeternum is inspired by the hatred and aggression of the early years of thrash / death / black metal, forged in the same fire as such classic cult acts as Mercyful Fate, Sodom, Destruction, Sabbat (England), Celtic Frost and Possessed. The band is also of course dedicated to the utter destruction of Jesus Christ and his followers.

The band has done a succesfull tour with Immortal and God Dethroned + several festival dates wich went very well.

The band has recently released a 7inch picture disc as well as the LP version of Forever Blasphemy. And are at the moment working on the next album to be recorded in January at the Abyss studios together with Tommy Tägtgren.

The album was released in August the year 2000. The title is THE PESTILENT PLAGUE, and feature 8 new tracks of total fucking blasphemic metal of death.

The band also contributes with a song on the King Diamond tribute album, namely Abigail.

Editor's comment: In the early days the band went under the name Behemoth but after the second demo they changed their name to In Aeternum.
