Rising from darkness and spawned by pain and suffering INFINITUM OBSCURE hail from the North-west region of Mexico (Tijuana, Mexico) with the objective of creating agressive and obscure musical art inspired by merciless emotions of hatred and sorrow, brought to from the unity of spirit and mind : the cosmic duality, the purest real self; and guided by the eternal flame of chaos and vengeance to slay and crush the weak and infidels to this immortal way of existence: TRUE METAL OF DEATH.

Conceived during 2000 by guitarrist/vocalist Roberto Lizarraga and brought to reality during 2001 when drummer Joel Marquez (x-Sadistic Intent) united in dark allegiance. A three piece line-up was completed in November 2001 when bass player Carlos Escobar (x-Diable Vesta Mortar) left his previous band to join in on this everlasting crusade for punishment and torment. In July 2002 a 2nd. guitar player was added, Noel Bello (x-Ninth Level) entered the band to follow the blackened path illuminated by the dark light of INFINITUM OBSCURE. Joel Marquez departed from the band for an 8 month period and was replaced during that time by 2 different session drummers, but now Joel is back for good and the line-up complete once again.

In April 2002 INFINITUM OBSCURE did a 2 day mini-tour in Baja California with Spanish Heavy Metallers ANGELES DEL INFIERNO with success and very satisfying results.

In March 2003 a self-released demo CD entitled "Ipsus Universum" was unleashed, produced by Ed Talorda of San Diego's MORTUUS TERROR, and was distributed to various places through the band, true friends and supporters.

Shortly after the demo, INFINITUM OBSCURE signed a record deal with Chicago's independent underground cult lable UTTERLY SOMBER CREATIONS. In September 2003 the "Ipsus Universum" Split CD was released (with Chicago's own ANCIENT GODS) and is currently available through various distributors worldwide. Also in September 2003 INFINITUM OBSCURE formed part of the infamous "Aztec Underground Legions Tour" in Chicago and Milwaukee along with brothers of death THE CHASM, OBEISANCE and ANCIENT GODS, proving that there is still REAL OCCULT METAL in Mexico.

Since 2001 INFINITUM OBSCURE have played in several cities shuch as Tijuana(Mex), Mexicali(Mex), Juarez(Mex), Ensenada(Mex), San Diego(USA), Los Angeles(USA), Chicago(USA) and Milwaukee(USA), and have shared the stage with killer METAL acts like THE CHASM, BEHEMOTH, INCANTATION, RISE, ANGELES DEL INFIERNO, SERPENS AEON, OBEISANCE, ANCIENT GODS, DISGORGE(Mex), NOCTUARY, SOLUCION MORTAL, FUNERUS, ABYSSMAL NOCTURNE, SUMERIA, WINTER THRALL, THANATOLOGY, DISGORGE(usa), MORTUUS TERROR, MAN DESTROYS HIMSELF and ETERNAL DAMNATION among others as well.

2004 marks a new era for INFINITUM OBSCURE with the departure of guitarist Noel Bello, returning to the original 3 piece lineup. Now, the Obscure Cult are currently hard at work preparing their awaited debut full-length album, to see the dark light by the end of Spring 2004, to be released by UTTERLY SOMBER CREATIONS once again.
