Swedish Death Metal band JULIE LAUGHS NOMORE were founded in
1995 and already recorded their first demo tape soon after that, which
received decent response by the press. In April 1996, they recorded
their first privately released mini CD which helped to make the band more
popular outside Sweden as well.
A year later, JULIE LAUGHS NOMORE obtained a deal with the Music
Network Project Humla Production and released a split CD together with DE
TVEKSAMMA. Although the band had progressed a lot on this release, they
were still trying to find their own unique style.
After receiving very positive reviews as a support act for Hammerfall
in 1998, they entered the studio again to record a new demo tape. These
recordings got them signed to Serious Entertainment from Denmark for
the production of their first full length album “When Only Darkness
Remains”. This masterpiece received great reviews, like 8 out of 10 points
in RockHard magazine. Nonetheless, JULIE LAUGHS NOMORE were without a
deal again not much later because Serious Entertainment went bankrupt;
that’s where Iron Glory Records came in and took the chance to sign one
of the best swedish Death Metal bands to release their brand new second
album “From The Mist Of The Ruins” as the second release of the new
sublabel Vile Music.
