Lacuna Coil photo
The Italian metal band Lacuna Coil was originally formed back in January 1994 under the name Sleep Of Right. They played some live shows and appeared on a compilation disc for a small independent label in May 1995. In June 1996 they changed their name into Ethereal as they felt it was more appropriate for their musical development at the time. Their first demo tape was recorded in 1996 and led to a record deal with Century Media. Since then they have become one of the leading gothic metal bands in the world.
