Lion's Share was originally formed in 1987 by Kay Backlund and Lars Chriss. In 1988 they
released their first single called "Ghost Town Queen". The following year they also started
recording a follow up entitled "Partners In Crime" but since they weren't happy about the
band's line-up at the time it was never released. They spent some time trying to find a suitable
line-up, most prominently a good singer but since they never found one in their hometown Sundsvall
they split up in 1991. Lars Chriss then moved to Stockholm (the capital of Sweden) and in 1993
he reformed the band with a completely new line-up. They recorded a new demo and was immediately
signed by the Japanese Zero Corporation. In late 1995 Century Media also offered them a worldwide deal.
Since Century Media were having some economical problems at the time they however terminated their contract with them to go
look for a better and more secure deal.
