London was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1978 as one of many glam /
hard rock acts. Throughout the years the band as featured musicians who
would later go on to play with bands like Guns N' Roses, W.A.S.P., Mötley
Crue and Steel Prophet. In 1980 both vocalist Nigel Benjamin and bass player
Nikki Sixx left the band. Blackie Lawless then rejoined briefly before the
band fell apart the same year and Grey formed St. Valentine. In 1983 London
was resurrected by original member Lizzie Grey with a brand new line-up.
Their 1990 album "Playa Del Rock" was a flop. They now changed their name
briefly to D'Priest but soon folded due to lack of interest in the band.
