LONEWOLF was born in Grenoble (France) in 1.993. One thing was clear to this legendary Metal band from the very beginning: to play true and authentic Heavy Metal. The guys joined forces to set up a stable line-up and started work together. The outcome was a demo, “The Calling”, which saw the light in 1.994. The six tracks were very well received by the critics in the underground Metal scene. A year later, LONEWOLF took another step forward and recorded a new E.P., “Holy Evil”, in a more professional way. Again, the critics were warm in their praise of the band, especially in some of the best European Heavy Metal magazines and fanzines, such as Hard´n´Heavy (France), Terrorizer (UK), That´s It (Germany) and so on. The first 1.000 copies were soon sold out in France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Japan. This early success led to offers to sign a deal with a bunch of labels, but soon after having reached an agreement with the wrong label, the band split up. The heart of LONEWOLF was still beating, though, and the beginning of 2.000 marked the rebirth of the band with the following line-up: Felix (drums), Dryss (bass), Jens (guitar / vocals), Mark (lead guitar). In less than a year they saw the results of their hard work together: a fistfull of good songs to record their debut album. It was now time to look for a new record company to edit this album as well as a substitute for Mark, who felt compelled to leave the band for personal reasons. They easily found a new guitarist, Dams, but the memory of unsuccessful past experiencies made them cautious about choosing a label until they got in touch with GOIMUSIC in 2.002. This label showed a strong interest in the band and both sides soon signed an agreement for the edition of “March Into The Arena” and two more albums.
