The Dutch doom metal band The Lords Of The Stone was formed in 1992 by the vocalist Andre
Dijkstra. Their first demo was released in the same year and since the response was very good
they were able to place two of their tracks on the D.S.F.A. CD sampler number 5. One year
later they released their second demo which was voted demo of the month in the Dutch
Aardschok Magazine and even elected #4 in the top 10 demos of 1994. The song
"Fire in the winter" was also released on a split-single with Celestial Season
on Displeased Records. They then went through a couple of line-up changes and actually split up for a while in 1995. The band came together again though just after a couple of weeks when Massacre Records offered them a record deal.
They recorded their one and only album in April 1996. It was released in 1997 and they probably broke up in 1998.
