We are writing October 2003. Hans and Jonas were nephews and have been playing in a band called Blackbird. When they split up, they asked Bart (ex-Area51) if he would like to join them in a new band. A couple of weeks later, they got in touch with a guy living in Limburg who was looking for a band to do some singing during his weekdays. However he was studying in a town nearby. Steve was contacted and Lost in Rhone was born.
February 2004, after only three months, they began playing shows. Their live reputation was already established after the first show, bringing a very heavy mix of emo, hardcore and metal. Lots of shows followed soon and in a few months Lost In Rhone became a well-known band in their own area.
The next logical step was recording a mini cd. It was recorded in april/may at the Grindhouse studios in Tessenderlo. This four-piece work was released at the end of august. The reactions were overwhelming. The cd’s along with the rest of the merch sold pretty good.
In september, the quest for a second guitar player ended in band extension by Kristof (One Man March). He turned out to be the perfect guy for them.
Lost In Rhone began to play shows also outside their Area, in the whole country of Belgium. At one of this shows, in Oostende, there was a scouting agent from Goodlife recording. He was pleasantly surprised by the songs and the live performance and after this, he offered them a contract. It was an offer they couldn’t refuse.
Lost In Rhone has now arrived in the next stage of their yet young carrier. Writing songs for the forthcoming debut full-cd and performing as much as they can, they are ready tot come and stay! Expect them to release this piece of work fall 2005 on Goodlife.
