MAJESTY were founded back in 1997 by Tarek “MS” Maghary (guitars, keyboards, vocals) and Udo Keppner (guitars) with the clear aim to deliver their one and only passion to the people: Heavy Metal. After diverse line up changes and two demo tapes to final line up got completed with drummer Michael Gräter, bassist Martin Hehn and keyboarder Andreas Moll. Although using a keyboarder there is one primal thing in MAJESTY's sound: loud wild metal in the vein of their musical influences such as Manowar, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Accept.
In summer 2000 MAJESTY recorded their first professional album "Keep it true" at the House of Audio, Karlsdorf which hit the German metal scene like a sledgehammer and made MAJESTY right away to the best-known unsigned band in Germany. The big magazines showed rave reviews and Rock Hard even presented them as Newcomer Tip! On the unsinged bands festival at the legendary Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg MAJESTY earned the third rank and were therefore invited to open the 2001 Bang Your Head! open air in Balingen. That this tremendous band would not be unsigned for long was for sure and Massacre Records took this raw diamond under contract end of 2001.
Their first official longplayer "SWORD AND SORCERY" was released and MAJESTY delivered a true metal smasher of highest international quality which was one of the most outstanding debuts of the year 2002. The album was again recorded at House fo Audio, Karlsdorf, Germany (PC 69, Edenbridge, Axxis) and singer and producer Tarek Maghary is a real perfectionist: bombastic, epic metal tracks, a clear and pounding sound and a superb artwork by legend Ken Kelly (Kiss, Manowar) combines a must-have album for every real metalhead! On the song "Heavy Metal" ex-Manowar guitarist Ross the Boss appears as guest musician.
Fantastic reviews in all relevant magazines followed and MAJESTY was named as one of the best Metal Newcommers for years.
At the beginning of the year 2003 Tarek decided, to concentrate all his energy on singing and so Rolf Munkes, an outstanding Lead guitarist, joined MAJESTY.
At the moment the band is working on a new album which will come out at the end of 2003. The album was mixed by Stefan Kaufmann (U.D.O./ACCEPT), who gave it a powerful Heavy Metal Sound of international standard. The album will be released on the 27th of october 2003.
