Misdemeanor was formed in Stockholm in 1992 when sisters Jenny and Mia and friends Jenny and Cicci started rehearsing. In 1994 the search for a singer was over when Vera joined and the band played its first live show before long, as a four piece, after the departure of Cicci. Missing that second guitar a mutual friend, Sara, was brought in to complete the line-up. The first demo, "Fountain of Youth", was recorded in January 1995. In 1997 a vinyl 7" recorded by Tomas Skogsberg at Sunlight Studio, was released on Nicke Andersson's (The Hellacopters) Psychout Records.
