Monkey3 is an instrumental stoner-rock band from Lausanne, Switzerland.
The project started in 2001 as a jam-session community. After few months the band started to write its own material. Their influences are : Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Kyuss, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc...
During their first year of life Monkey3 released a demo EP. This record is not available anymore, but a future re-issue may be possible (who knows...?).
3rd of march 2003 Monkey3 released their first full-length album. This record is currently available in record stores everywhere and via this website. Monkey3 is still an independent and self produced band.
The actual band is composed by the original trio Boris, Walter and Picasso. In the 2003 released "self titled" album (see news 2003) also a mysterious character named "mister malpropre" did is appearance.
2004 the label "buzzville records" re-released "monkey3" album. Summer of the same year the band went on is first tour, playing in many places across Europe.
